What is the difference between the Milli Trainer and the Milli Dilator?

The main difference between the Milli Vaginal Trainer and the Milli Vaginal Dilator is the indications for use – meaning what they are used for. The Milli Trainer is a wellness product that is not indicated for treatment of any medical condition. As such, it is available without a prescription.  The Milli Vaginal Dilator is a medical device indicated to help relieve the symptoms of vaginismus and related dyspareunia (painful sex) and requires a prescription.  If you are a patient and want to purchase the Milli Trainer for general wellness purposes, then you may do so via our store. If you want to use the Milli Vaginal Dilator to help relieve the symptoms of vaginismus, then you will need to get a prescription from a physician.

What does gradual, adjustable sizing mean and why does it matter?

Gradual sizing refers to the incremental size adjustments that occur from the wand area of Milli, which increases and decreases in diameter size. This feature allows the user to insert Milli once and gradually achieve the desired size instead of re-inserting different sizes. The sizing, by use of plus (+) and minus (-) buttons, is millimeter-by-millimeter and controlled by the user.

Can I use Milli while I’m on my period?

Yes. You can use Milli at any time. We recommend washing it with soap and water after each use and ensuring Milli is dry before storing.

Milli can be a helpful part of foreplay. If Milli feels good for masturbation, we encourage you to take advantage of that pleasure.

Can I use lubricants with Milli?

If using lubricants, a water-based lubricant should be chosen. Milli uses a silicone polymer cover, which means you cannot use a silicone-based lubricants with Milli as they may cause damage.

How do I clean Milli?

Soap and water should be used to clean the wand portion of Milli and the handle should be wiped with a damp cloth. We recommend washing and drying Milli after each use. Milli is not waterproof; please do not submerge Milli under water.

Why does Milli expand in a square shape?

Milli expands in a square shape due to the internal mechanics of the product. Most women assume the vagina is a cylindrical tube, but the shape of the vagina in its relaxed state generally resembles an H as the walls flatten against themselves.

Will Milli be wide enough for me?

Milli provides gradual expansion from 15mm to 40mm, which is similar to the typical range of sizes in static sets. Milli may mimic the size of tampons, speculums, and possibly your partner. There are some static sets with a size slightly larger than Milli (41-42mm); however, they generally require making a larger jump in size from one to the next, which some women may find difficult. Per the British Journal of Urology the average penis diameter is 37mm, and the 40mm size replicates the majority of men.

Why could it hurt when Milli expands?

You may experience some discomfort during your therapy. Discontinue use and contact your healthcare provider if you feel pain. Adjusting to a lower setting may relieve some discomfort. There may be two reasons for pain associated with Milli use: tightness and angling. If you are increasing Milli’s size too fast, you may experience discomfort and Milli might hurt. Try expanding slower and over multiple sessions.  As Milli expands in a square shape, the ridges may put pressure on your urethra. If you are feeling intense pressure, you might rotate Milli to relieve discomfort.

How will Milli help me prepare for a physical exam?

Once you are comfortable inserting Milli at its rest (start) size, we recommend trying to slowly increase the size. This should help you prepare for future insertion of other items besides Milli.

How do I know Milli is charged or charging?

Milli will flash with “Ch” when low on charge and may shut down completely if not immediately charged. Place Milli in its case and ensure the charging cord is plugged into the wall. An orange light from the case and a flashing “Ch” on the Milli display will indicate Milli is charging. A full charge occurs once the case has a faint green light and Milli no longer displays “Ch”.

How long will Milli operate after a full charge?

The battery life of Milli can vary depending on use case (time, vibration setting, etc.) but should last several sessions. We recommend charging Milli after each use.
